Modine Announces Addition of Fully Automated ElectroFin® Microchannel E-Coat and Topcoat line at Jacksonville, Texas, Facility to Support Surging Demand from Data Center Customers

Facility will retain existing batch line to support ongoing demand for round-tube plate-fin (RTPF) coated coils.

RACINE, Wis., September 30, 2026 — Modine (NYSE: MOD), a diversified global leader in thermal management technology and solutions, today announced the expansion of ElectroFin® anti-corrosion protection application capabilities at its Jacksonville, Texas, coatings facility. The expansion will add a state-of-the-art, fully automated microchannel electrodeposition coating (e-coat) and topcoat line, effectively doubling the plant’s microchannel coating capacity.

This expansion is driven by unprecedented demand across the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) sector. Specifically, the need for high-efficiency heat exchangers equipped with durable, ElectroFin® anti-corrosion protection has reached record levels due rapid growth in the data center industry.

The new automated ElectroFin® e-coat and topcoat line is engineered specifically to process aluminum microchannel coils with enhanced precision, speed, and uniform coverage, providing total surface protection on complex heat exchangers. Engineering work is underway, with full project completion expected by November 2027.

Simultaneously, Jacksonville’s existing ElectroFin® e-coat batch line will remain fully operational to support ongoing demand for traditional round-tube plate-fin (RTPF) coated coils. Establishing dedicated, streamlined workflows for both microchannel and RTPF technologies enables the facility to optimize total plant throughput while maintaining the high quality and flexibility required by its commercial HVAC and OEM partners.
